Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based Top Note Tonics wants to give your cocktails a boost in both flavor and health benefits. Founders Mary Pellettieri, a 20-year craft beer veteran, and Noah Swanson were originally interested in making an herb beer when they came across the origins of soft drinks. They pivoted and instead created the company’s American Craft Mixers: Indian Tonic, Bitter Lemon, and Ginger Beer. Their sparkling tonics are crafted with all-natural ingredients and botanicals that produce a nuanced flavor profile to elevate your drinks. Using a variety of bitter sources, fruits, spices, acids and sweeteners, Top Note Tonics are known for their unique “top note” aromas, a term traditionally used to describe the initial aroma you experience when drinking wine, beer and spirits.

The young company recently won the 2017 sofi™ award for best new product from the Specialty Food Association. This month, Top Note Tonics also announced that Greg Stroh, creator of Izze Soda, will join its advisory board as it looks to expand to markets across the country. For now, check out the company’s store locator to find a distributor near you. Cheers!
