Award-winning organic hard cider producer Sonoma Cider is adding a popular flavor to its permanent beverage list. The Washboard, scheduled for release today, features a blend of Indian sarsaparilla, organic Fuji and Granny Smith Pacific Northwest apples and vanilla. The Washboard—which debuted in March 2015 as a limited offering and won Gold at the 2015 California Cider Competition and 2015 Tastings World Beer Championships—will become Sonoma Cider’s fourth core flavor.

Healdsburg, California-based Sonoma Cider handcrafts their line of organic ciders in micro batches to focus on refined flavors. The company was founded in 2013 by 20-year veteran cidermaster David Cordtz with his son and co-founder Robert Cordtz.

Other flavors in the core lineup include The Hatchet, a traditional sweet and tart apple cider; The Pitchfork, an apple and pear cider; and The Anvil, a cider made with apples and what the company calls its “proprietary barrel-proof bourbon flavor.”
